the next day ...

this is the computer entry from the 25th of December:

12:00 p.m.

I've published something absolutely astonishing. It so incredibly unbelievable to be alive when this happened and to have been the one to do it- it is truly factastic.

I'm allowing my Cheerios to get soggy in my pomegranate / grapefruit juice. Then I'll slather it onto a bagel. mmmm…?

What an enchanted life this is turning out to be.

so, perhaps that is all there is to type right now. I still have to record and have little idea what I might do.

Note: I am not posting from each day nor each posting from the selected days. I am preparing materials from the Study in an exhibit form at this time. Complete materials will be viewable at each installation of the exhibit. If You are interested in viewing more complete materials or possibly hosting the exhibit feel free to contact Me at ecw.the.2nd@gmail.com and reference the study and/or exhibit in the subject line. Thank You.

I hope You have a great day.

a schedule as a beginning of structure

In general the schedule that I followed was:

midnight : write (hand-written) │ create an image
noon : write (computer entry) │ create a visual recording
eight PM : write (hand-written) │ create an image

There was some variation and the timing was flexible; there were a number of instances when the visual recording took hours to complete (including editing). Also, there was additional writing and editing work that I completed during this time that was technically unrelated to the study.

I hope that You enjoy the materials that were created during this study and I hope that You can appreciate the concept of the study, whether it be a challenge or source of joy for You.

the variation of consistency

I employed various hearing reduction during the time. As in text without vision there was a commitment to safety. As a result, three different methods of hearing reduction were used at various times.

Here are some of the photos

ear plugs
ear cups (visible in all three photos)
additional padding

It's over

So, for one week in December of 2010 I covered my eyes.
